I want a larger mouse pointer
Can I make the mouse pointer any larger? In Control center-->Peripherals-->Mouse, I don't see any such option. The default mouse pointer is smaller than I'm used to.

The trick is you have to add more cursor themes. For KDE they are available form www.kde-look.org. If you look at Control Center-->Peripherials-->Mouse on the Cursor Theme tab there is a button for 'Install New Themes'. You download the theme of choice, and use the Install New Theme button.

That would work, I guess, thank you; but won't the new themes include other pointer "stuff" that I may or may not be interested in? If so, it would be simpler for MEPIS to include two or three available pointer sizes. Who wants a small one by default anyway?--it's harder to see.

When you install a theme, you get a set of pointers. There are many themes to choose from. Of course you could always create your own theme, if you like the current set, except the main pointer.
