Congrats/thanks for a beautiful, fast and easy to use OS. I thought that Openbox was cuter than Xfce, but after seeing the newest MX, I'm equally excited about it.
Anyway, I put the live system on USB and created 256 MB persistence file, but when I rebooted, it reverted to default. It doesn't automatically seek the save or persistence file like in Puppy? How to use it? Thanks.
You can usually add in persistence to some distros.
I don't know exactly what you have.
Might be easier to just use a live to usb type of program as they provide the solution easier.
Be sure to look at www.pendrivelinux.com for a good source of solutions for live usb installs.
I did use a different program, WinSetupFromUSB, not the one mentioned in their tutorial, and the flash drive has Clonezilla and Windows as well. I guess I'll look into it.
I did not have to do anything but press F5 (for persistence) upon boot. It gives options then loads old persistence file if it exists. I guess it makes sense to choose, between default and your own version, like if you want to install.

Welcome to the world of choices. You will find MX will meet your needs, and if they do not, post a request on MX Forums. Jim205
