How to install Mepis with 3 other op systems?

I have three op systems installed: Windows XP Pro on 1 partition and Ubuntu 9.04 on two different partitions.

I want to install Mepis 8.0.06 on a forth partition.

My concern is,what will happen to the GRUB menu? Will it have all four op systems available?

Editing the grub menu is easy peasy

Mepis/Antix boasts that the new mepis/antix will auto recognize
your current Operating systems.

Go with it
and if it screws up the menu.lst
come bacK:)

O.K., I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

Back up your menu.lst just in case . . .

I guess it can't hurt to back it up, but unless you do something really strange the new install of Mepis will be in a different partition with its own /boot/grub subdirectory containing its own menu.lst file and the old /boot/grub/menu.lst will still be there untouched (but no longer used).

Once you have the new Mepis running, you can diff (kdiff3 is better and easier) the menu.lst in the previously used boot to the current one. If the installer failed to copy any important chunks from the old menu.lst, it is easy to copy them manually.
