How good is Mepis?


How stable is mepis 6.0? How long can you run it without a hicup?

I'm running Mepis 6.0 since September 2006 on my laptop and it is pretty stable. If you explain a bit what a "hicup" is I can give more specific answer. (Sorry but my english is still quite limited).

I just installed mepis 6.0.1 and I can't seem to play my dvd, I tried to get libdvdcss2 ans w32codecs but can't,I'm trying to get dvd player to play.\hicup

Hi frank: Open the Konsole and type 'su' and enter your root password and do an 'apt-get update' and then an 'apt-get upgrade' and see if this helps.
