Smile Does mepis lite have the same grub selections as mepis?


Hi,does mepis and mepis lite have the same grub menu and selections as mepis,example:windows at hda1 mepis at hda2.

deprecated. (No longer supported.) The new "lite" version of MEPIS is AntiX.
But to answer your question, or at least guess at it, I think that is a GRUB function, if I'm understanding correctly. Windows, if previously installed, will always appear at hda1 (except in the case of restore partitions).

I believe you are correct, it was that way in 6.0 and 6.5.02, and it has changed:
/dev/scd0 - media/CD
/dev/sda1 - ntfs,
/dev/sda2 - mepis,
/dev/sda3 - home

This changed happened with the newer kernel used in the beta's for SimplyMepis 7...
