Question dhcpcd instead of dhclient in Mepis 3.4.3

How can I replace dhclient with dhcpcd? (so it will take the IP at boot and be controlled via the OS Center?) I can't connect to my network with dhclient everytime, which is odd , but dhcpcd works just fine every time i use it. I've tried both clients on various distros, and the behavior was just the same.
