can't install antiX15 from the command line
The laptop I'm installing on has no OS so I've gone the CLI installation route. There's CLI instructions: see screenshot 42
I'm able to log in as root and pw as root but that just brings me to this screen. screenshot 32
I've looked at the 'help' in the terminal and there's nothing about installing. I typed 'install' and it just sends me back to help.
Anybody know how I can proceed with the installation?
P.S. And I would like to install it, not just test it.
Thanks.

reading
It seems you did not read the instructions well. Those instructions tell you EXACTLY what to do next. See step 2, you have done the first part but not completed the step.

No. First. Login < I can see you did the below. I am just posting this for folks who are reading this>
then type in password
Then type in to start the installer process.
Then follow the instructions from there.

Thanks guys. I can see my error and actually I got to the very end of this install and it won't let me reboot.
Everything is done. It says installation finished! Then:
Code:
Reboot computer without CD to start program. ('reboot')
So I removed the CD but when I enter or just I get:
Code:
--bash: reboot.sh: command not found
for the command
and
Code:
--bash: /sbin/reboot: Input/output error
for the command
I'm still in this. If anybody has a quick answer as to how to reboot I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

if all else fails...
Well then, flush your disks, remout them R/O, flush again, wait 60 seconds (just in case, and because I am paranoid) and pull the power.
That is not quite the same as a clean shutdown, but close enough for a fresh install with no critical data.

Oh, man, thanks but I don't know how to flush disks (and did you mean "remount"?) remout them R/O (I do know how to pull the power though--LOL.).

almost there ...
Now that I think, you may not have a program installed to flush disks. I do not remember using it in AntiX.
One such command is 'flush', and it drives all pending writes from the buffers to physical media. Doing that, then using the mount command to make your filesystems read-only ensures that there is no data unwritten to media before you pull the plug.
In your case, just pull the plug, remove all extra media (CD/usb, etc) and then power it up and see how it boots.
If you end up in AntiX at the prompt, then you accomplished a successful OS install.

Thanks. I just tried the unplug and re-plug deal. No luck.
I'm going to try it again, but is there anything I can do differently so as not to be stuck on the "reboot" at the end?

new stuff is fun...
Odd. Either the install did not take, or (more likely) the boot setup did not take.
Try again?
Meanwhile, I am downloading antix15 full and will set up a virtual install here and give it a try.
