Bios data via Cmnd Line
Is there a command line call to get the details of the Bios? [SM3.3.1].

reboot and enter the BIOS the way your man says to do so

It's my understanding that every version of every BIOS formats the CMOS to suit itself, so its own SETUP program is the only way to read the CMOS.

I found this on the Internet: Dell makes a library called libsmbios that can access certain BIOS information.

This suggests to me that Dell has enough influence over its BIOS vendors to achieve some degree of uniformity in how they use CMOS.
