ati 7000 and mepis problem
First of all,hi. I hope you can help me with this question.
I've got the latest version of SimplyMEPIS(3.3.1-1) and a Gecube ATI Radeon 7000 w/64 Mb.I can't get it to work at 1042x768 with my monitor, which is a bit old(by the info I got it's an Amptron Monitor JD144C,model AMPJD144C).Now,is it because of the monitor,or beacuse of the video card? I couldn't find drivers for my card,so I don't know if there is an immediate solution for this...
Thanks for your time.
[EDIT]:
when I as root do
dmesg | grep agpgart
i get this:
root@1[~]# dmesg | grep agpgart
Linux agpgart interface v0.100 (c) Dave Jones
agpgart: Detected NVIDIA nForce2 chipset
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 439M
agpgart: AGP aperture is 64M @ 0xd8000000
agpgart: Found an AGP 2.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0.
agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:00:00.0 into 1x mode
agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:03:00.0 into 1x mode
I have a A7N8X-E Deluxe as the motherboard.I'm not sure if this helps.
