Hi,
Just to know how to install antiX ( the new mepis Lite), if the possibility exists.

You can also just click on the install me icon. AntiX uses fluxbox. There is no kde on antiX. Just some kde apps of course. I have antiX rc 5 installed and it is good. It is at distrowatch. You can download it for a try here.

The reason why you didn't find install in the fluxbox menu was probably because you logged in as root, which is bad practice. (I deliberately didn't include the Mepis utilities in the fluxbox menu for this reason). Also root login screen/display is pretty ugly, so login as demo password demo and all the options are there and it is much prettier I think.

Apart from that, enjoy antiX and please give feedback here or at Mepislovers site or Mepis.org

After installing antiX I found out that on reboot the keyboard was not detected. I had to unplug it, PS2, and plug it in again for it to work. I had the same problem with, I believe, Sidux and Vector Live 5.8. Other than that it worked well, so well that after the full release I might use it instead of Mepis. Nothing wrong with Mepis but antiX comes closer to the way I use a computer. Thanks, anticapitalista, for your hard work.
