LinuxQuestions.org - Xserver multiple display classical question

hello all!

I installed Mandrake 10.1 on my Toshiba M30x S111 laptop, installation was pretty smooth and runs very nicely.
My major concern right now is to configure the Xservers file to allow another person to log on without terminating my X session. ( i knw lot of ppl have done this and have instructions on how to do it but i am too dumb too understand)

Here is how my X servers file looks like .....

but i am not able to log in as another user , infact whn i do ctrl+alt+f2, the xserver crashes.
is it necessary to boot into X? i start X manually.

I do have another problem, if u have had the patience to read this far and are still willing to help !

I have a cable connection at home, but everytime i boot i have to run hardrake to configure my ethernet, does not work without that. is there anything thts not happening at the boot time?
