is impossible tu use xmms-1.2.10 with glib-2.6.2?
i can install gtk but when i trie to install xmms:
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.2... no
*** The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found
*** If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to glib-config.
configure: error: *** GLIB >= 1.2.2 not installed - please install first ***
i read on this forum that i have to use glib 1.2.10 but is possible to use this version of glib with glib-2.6.2? i dont know what to do :|
migu what distro are you using. If you are using an rpm based distro and your system says they are installed, then you need the development packages which would be named something like glib-1.x-devel and gtk+-1.x-devel (this varies with the distro you are using). And yes as mentioned above gtk 1 and 2 and glib 1 and 2 can coexist onone system.
