Question xinit and quote in mandrake 9.2


hi all,

recently i'm replacing my 'old' Mandrake 9.1 w/ Mandrake 9.2 but i got several problem:
- where is xinit? coz i cannot start gnome/icewm/xfce anymore
- when i'm writting C code in the KDE console (i've used vim inside KDE console) i cannot type "
(quote) it turn to be something else, but this is not happening on pure terminal console (ttyxx)

any solutions?

.xinitrc

and check for the kde konsole keyboard settings

home directory.

and what should i change on the kde keyboard settings?
