xine problem....

i downloaded "xine-1.0.0-alt5.src.rpm"when try to install the error is .....
Some package requested cannot be installed:
xine-1.0.0-alt5.src (due to unsatisfied gcc-common[*])
do you agree ?

what should i do.....

please mention the linux ur using
and u need to install "gcc" to compile that

sir i using mandrake linux10.0 but i have gcc compiler....

mandrake has the xine package
if u want to use that run

urpmi xine

or if u want to install the latest
get urself the source which is in that form of .tar.gz from www.xinehq.de
