I installed the wine-20040505-mdk1.i586.rpm,but when i want to open any software from
windows:
wine /mnt/win_d/"programe files"/mIRC/mirc.exe
the error is:
wine: cannot open /home/user/.wine : No such file or directory
there is same error as root:
wine: cannot open /root/.wine : No such file or directory
plz help me.

well, you haven't configured wine yet.
You myst have a configuration file at your homedir, that wine(X) searches for paths etc. I use wineX 3.3 CVS, and it has a tool called winexconfig that did the trick. (Not sure though was it called that; not on my box right now...)

You can now remove the [SerialPorts], [ParallelPorts], and [Drive] sections
in your configuration file, they are replaced by the above symlinks.

Invalid path L"C:\\Windows" for L"windows" directory: does not exist.
Perhaps you have not properly edited your Wine configuration file (/home/mine/.wine/config)
