I got a unusual problem,
any pop up window on my desktop is too wide.
Not in my web browser just my desktop.
Using Mandriva one Gnome.
Application windows are fine, is just any other window
the application invokes displays too wide, about 2 to 3
times it should be , somtime it takes up width of the
whole desktop.
For instance when i run the package manager the pop up window that states downloading or examining 'filename'
will be twice as wide as it should be.

Is there a way too correct this?
Is there some config file i can edit?
It's not really a problem just darn annoying!

When i get home i'll take a screenshot and show you what i mean--if that helps.

I don't know about Gnome, but in KDE there is a setting that you can use to save the position/size of individual windows (Right Click Title bar/Advanced/Special Window Settings for KDE of course), you didn't do something similar did you? Also, I couldn't access your screenshot, it just went to the Imageshack page.
