Window Positions in KDE

Many windows open half-way off the screen or under the task-bar. Is there a way to force all windows to stay within the boundaries of the display?

Thanks,
Ted.

yes there is, however i'm at work and i dont have a linux box near me

but go to configure your desktop , and then on the left pane look for Window behaviour, there is an option in there somewhere, i configured mine to open windows directly in the center of the screen because by defualt it would appear to the top left.

I think the setting I had was zero-centered which loads every window at the top left. But still, windows can go off the screen and below the taskbar. Sometimes when I open Mplayer, the gui is half under the taskbar. I have searched and searched for ways to stop that kind of thing from happening but am at a loss at the moment.

Thanks for the help,
Ted.
