Who is changing perm on login/logout ?

Something is changing the perm on /dev/dsp (and co ) when i log and logout.

Actually it changing the owner of the drivers, if i log with "joe" user, it change it to joe, if i log out , re-log with user "dow" it change it to "dow". It also remove all perm except for the owner.

It is devfs or some other mandrake security widget ?

I use 9.1

Has to be one of your init scripts.

check 'em out in /etc/init.d

Don't modify them unless your'e sure you know what you're doing, though, and make a backup first.

Might want to do some reading to find out how to use 'em. Or find out what nifty little GUI tool MDK installed to do it for you - I don't know what it'd be.

Might be msec. Man msec.

If msec is the culprit you can either modify its behavior or uninstall it with:
rpm -e --nodeps msecr
