Which package should I use to get Agere softmodem to work on Mandriva 2007

Hi

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook s2110 notebook with 64 bit Turion processor. I installed Mandriva 2007 powerpack commercial version. The installed os is 64 bit. This notebook has a Agere win modem. There are no packages for this modem under the 64 bit set of packages in the Mandriva 2007 powerpack dvd. However, under 32 bit there are several packages which are listed below.
dkms-slmodem-2.9.11-0.20060727.1mdv2007.0.i586
slmodem-2.9.11-0.20060727.1mdv2007.0.i586
slmodem-debug-2.9.11-0.20060727.1mdv2007.0.i586
slmodem-kernel-2.6.17-1mdvsmp-2.9.11-1mdk.i586
slmodem-kernel-2.6.17-5mdv-2.9.11-1mdk.i586
slmodem-kernel-2.6.17-5mdventerprise-2.9.11-1mdk.i586
slmodem-kernel-2.6.17-5mdvlegacy-2.9.11-1mdk.i586

I tried installing them but still the modem doesn't work under Linux. Does anybody know which package I should install and whether there are any configuration I need to do to get this working? Also what is the meaning of all these packages and are there corresponding packages for 64 bit? 32 bit packages should work under 64 bit os shouldn't they?

Thanks

Is it a full modem or a WinModem?Google a bit

Hi

It's a softmodem. Mandriva comes with the 32bit packages. They don't seem to work with the 64 bit installation. Module slamr doesn't get loaded. (what ever that is. :) )
