Which edition of JAVA to use?

Which java do I need. When I install LIMEWIRE it says I need java VM so do I get that. I have the normal 10.1 community with a AMD 64 3200+ CPU. So do I get one for 64 bit arcit. or i586?

I would get either J2SE 1.4.2_06, or J2SE 5.0. Either one should work fine for you. (1.4.2 is the current "standard".) If there is a choice between 64-bit and 32-bit (I didn't look), I would go with 32-bit to stay compatable with the system you currently have.
