where is kernel source tree ?

While trying to install a Nvidia driver, I get error: Unable to find the kernel source tree for the currently runninig kernel.
The installer is trying to compile an kernel interface for my kernel.
How do I install the correct kernel source files or specify the correct path ?
Your help is appreciated
