Unhappy where is kernel-source ?

Trying to make my ADSL modem work with Mandrake 10.1 and get as far as ./configure for the driver - eagle-usb-2.3.1 - and right at the end the error message
error: kernel-sources cannot be found!

uname -r gives result 2.6.8.1-12mdk

Directory /usr/src/linux does not exist and I can't run urpmi kernel-source as I dont have internet under linux/mandrake.

Where do I go from here, apart from back to winXP !

Use the mandrake control center and look for kernel-source in software installation.

I think in 10.1 and 2005LE its 'kernel-source26' if you're running a 2.6 kernel (the default). I know something like this tripped me up when I was installing the NVIDIA stuff on 10.1.

I had a similar problem, but could not find it in the 'install software' on the kde menu. However, the following in a terminal as su worked a treat:

urpmi kernel-source

It asked for cd 2 and installed it.
