where are the wireless drivers?

Looking for the rt2661 driver realtek chipset. Anyone help to point to the binary?

Unfortunately I loaded the latest Beijing on my friends machine and had not realised the latest version 2007.1 has had all the drivers taken out from the rc3 version.

If you live only in a wireless area how do you get to use Mandriva at all?

When I was using wireless I found this site useful.

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...Level=4&Conn=3

Although I was not using a RealTek card or chipset. The RT2561 rev.c was a RaLink.

You may need the card model number, chipset name and revision number to find what you need.

Check out this reference page...

Hopefully for the last time, Beijing is not the latest version of Mandriva 2007.1. Expecting Beijing to be fully functioning is an exercise in futility. Have you added repositories through either MCC or Easy urpmi? Have you looked on RPMSearch? Have you done anything to remedy this yourself?

A very quick use of the search engine (top of the page, 3rd from the left, handily labelled "Search", keywords Wireless Mandriva 2007.1) gave the following

USB Wireless Card not working

Nice find miclem, no solution though!

I would have a look in the sub-section wireless of the networking section.....

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...splay.php?f=41

and perhaps the hardware list at mandriva.

Regards, Glenn
