where's gnome, firefox, etc??!

hi,

i just downloaded and installed mdk 10.1 official (downloaded only cd1). but i cant find firefox, nor can i change the kde theme to gnome (though i selected to install gnome)...are they on cd2/3 ? coz i have not yet downloaded cd 2 and 3.

firefox is not installed by default. YOu have to download and install it at www.mozilla.org

You can change the KDE theme by logging out and log back in and choose GNOME as your environment and you will be given the choice to select that as your default.

If you're looking for an app, run a slocate (if you've run updatedb) to see where it is located if it exists.

CD 3 has mozilla and firefox

http://urpmi.borgnet.us will give you the right commands to update your system to use the ftp mirrors instead of getting the cd iso's
