Yes, I've successfully installed Mandrakelinux on my laptop, completely. Now, I have 2 OS in my laptop, Linux and Windows XP.

This is my problem, after I selected Linux from the list of OS, whenever I start my laptop, the verbose mode suddenly appeared and it says that something like /hda6 exited with signal 11. It cannot continue checking the file system, something like that. Then it asks me if I want to repair it, press ENTER for maintenance or CTRL-D for reboot.

Please help me to fix my problem.

Well it seems you shut down the notebook from Mandrake incorrectly.
/dev/hda6 is probably the partition of your hard drive where you installed Linux, (there are no drive letters in linux, that's why you don't have "D:")
WHen it says "press Y to force verification" do it.

but is not "y", it's capital "Y", so you have to do <Shift> <Y>

depending on how many errors it could take a couple of reboots, but don't worry.
Just keep pressing Y untill the startup don't complain anymore.
