What is on CD1 & CD2 of Mandrake 10?

I'm downloading Mandrake 10 at the mo but unfortunately i'm on ISDN. I already have CD1 and was wondering if that's all I need to get it installed and only need CD2 for extra programs or is CD2 an installation CD aswell? Am eager to get it installed.

Thanks

Mandrake is normally a 3cd install. I suspect that you could install using only disk 1, but you would have a severely cutdown Mandrake with no gui and you'd probably also have very few tools. You would then need to spend an equally long time finding and installing the rest of it. If the download is too long/unreliable for you I'd suggest either getting someone with broadband to do it for you or buying the install disks from a store, from Mandrake, from an online cheap install cd place or from e-Bay.

I have Mandrake 8.0 on another box which I installed with a CD I got with a magazine. It's CD1 of a package of at least 4, but all the necessary files are on CD1 incluiding several GUI like Gnome and KDE.

During installation mandrake asked which cds I had and showed a list of available packages related to that one CD, but it was possible to add the cds later on in the control centre

Thanks Limnix, might start the install process and see if that's possible. I do recall reading somewhere that you can only boot from CD 2 but only one way to find out.

XavierP, Mandrake discovery is only 2 cds plus the Move CD.
