Web pages load slow

I have Mandrake 10.1 official installed and webpages are loading very slow. I open mozilla andtype an adress in a the webpage loads very slow.(40 seconds for a page The download speed are still god though I downloaded updates at like 240kbps. Does any one have any ideas about why webpages are loading so slow> thank you in advance
