Viewing /mnt in Konqueror takes 20 minutes!

I think I may have a corrupt setting somewhere. When I navigate to the /mnt folder under Konqueror it takes well over 20 minutes to load the contents. Is there a way I can check to see if there are some invalid mount points in there? I don't really know a lot about mounting/unmounting.

One thought I had was that there is a /floppy mount point but I don't have a floppy drive on my machine. Could this cause that type of behavior?

Thanks!

it's probably supermount causing the trouble. in terminal as root type........

supermount i disable

then try searching the /mnt folder.

note......... by disabling supermount, you will need to manually mount removable media (& possibly other partitions, depending on your setup). if you're trying to search removable media (CD's, floppy's, etc.) right click a desktop icon, then click mount first. (or, in terminal as root, type mount /dev/hdX, where X = the drive letter).

to re-enable supermount, in terminal as root, type.......

supermount i enable
