Video Error after install

I just finished installing Mandrake 10.0 on an older machine, when it boots up the video is unreadable and the keyboard does not respond. When I boot up into failsafe however I can do stuff. What do I need to do to get gnome functioning?

Sounds like your XF86Config file is not set up right. It would help if you gave more information. It's really hard to guess what the problem is with nothing to go on.

What kind of system are you using? Particulars of the keyboard, monitor and graphics card which may be causing the problem
