Using HDD for Mandrake Move

Is it possible to use a Linux partition on your HDD to save Mandrake Move Configuration, and if yes how would I go about doing that?

I have Windows XP Professional on a 30GB HDD if I made a 5GB partition on it for Linux, would I be able to use it as a substitute for the USB Key?
