Using boot.iso to do ftp install

I'm following the directions on this page:
http://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/in...opic=9345&st=0

On step 11 I do this:
11). First line: ftp.uni-bayreuth.de
second line: /pub/linux/Mandrakelinux/official/10.1/i586/
Other lines: leave blank --> Press OK

And what happens is that I get a message back saying:
Error: file not found
(/pub/linux/Mandrakelinux/official/10.1/i586
/Mandrake/base/mdkinst_stage2.bz2).

When I ftp to the site the path:

/pub/linux/Mandrakelinux/official/10.1/i586

does exist.

However, the path:

/Mandrake/base/mdkinst_stage2.bz2

does not. Nor does it seem to exist at any other ftp location.

What is wrong here and what do I need to do to fix it?

Thanks!

It's there!

Are you sure you downloaded the correct boot.iso file?

It sounds like you are possibly using one made for 10.0 instead of 10.1 which has a different directory structure.

Obviously everyone on that list had fairly good luck with the FTP installs too.
