Does anybody know of a usb cardreader that is guaranteed to work on Mandrake?

Yes, mine - SanDisk ImageMate SDDR-31.

Guaranteed? I'm running Mandrake 9.1 and my USB card reader is working. You can take that for whatever it is worth.

I have a Sandisk ImageMate SDDR 91

The installation and recongition was easy. I am still working on permissions, but that is because I am stupid, not because of any hardware problems.

SanDisk "cruzer".

Never had any problems with it. On a "stock" Mandrake install it recognized and configured it the first time I tried to use it.

Lexar worked for me ,on a dell laptop with mandrake 9.1 and on an old compaq with mandrake 9.1. just plugged it in and it picked it up.
