I noticed that the current version of Kdenlive-0.7.2.1 (non-linear video editor) is listed on the Sophie rpm list (sophie.zarb.org). I would like to install that program using urpmi. However, it doesn't pop up in my urpmi after going to Easy Urpmi website and installing the official and PLF medias there as directed by the Sophie website. Only older versions of Kdenlive appear.
What does it take to make Kdenlive-0.7.2.1 appear in my urpmi listing?
From what I see 7.2 is in the main/testing repo, whereas 7.0 is in main/release and main/backports. So I guess if you want 7.2 badly you may want to add the main/testing repo activated in your Mandriva Control Center

I already have the Main Testing repo activated. The "enabled" box is checked. Although I'm not able to click the "update" box next to it. No matter what I do, that box won't check.

MandrivaUpdate is intended to be used only with main-updates, contrib-updates and non-free-updates. Enabling any other repo as an update source is considered to be an expert option. In order to do so you need to launch the media manager with the command:
Code:
# drakrpm-edit-media --expert

Thanks. So, how do I access Sophie rpms from urpmi? Is there anything I overlooked?
sophie is an information resource not a mirror. The kdenlive package that you refer to is for 2009.1 (presently cooker). The only way to install it through urpmi would be to add a cooker mirror to your media sources, which is definitely not recommended on a stable release.
