I did a search in RPMDrake for this software for the heck of it but no results were found. If I undertand RPMDrake correctly then it is just a dressed up version of URPMI and both of these programs are supposed to be able to access FTP servers on the internet to download new software right? WIth URPMI I have had a little success with but RPMDrake doesn't search for anything outside of what is on the distrobution cds. Is there a way to change this, am I missing something?

**Also I tried searching URPMI for programs like LimeWire but nothing was found. Is LimeWire just not on there or am I doing something wrong?

Yes, rpmdrake is a gui for urpmi.

You need to do urpmi.addmedia blah blah to get recent packages.

you need to have the plf server in order to download limewire.

also, you might need to update your lists.

If you can't find it with urpmi, run a search for the rpm and try installing it from there (unfortunately you will run into dependency issues, but I don't know how to do it any other way )

Correct me if i am wrong, but 3ddesktop is in the contrib tree.

you do have a contrib tree added to you urpmi database right?
the headers for contrib are about 22 Meg. So for us on diall up it is slow to add.

http://urpmi-addmedia.org/

has a great little scipt to add the media with the command line.

then a simple urpmi 3ddesktop should do it.
