please explain a little further. did you lose your CD sources & want to replace them? did you just lose CD2 & want to replace that? or, is this an error that just started popping up out of nowhere. if you want to know how to add your CD sources, do the following.........

open MCC (Mandrake Control Center)->software management->software media manager. put in CD1, (if you don't have supermount or automount enbled, mount the CD, otherwise ignore this part), click on the "update" button, put a check in the box to the corresponding CD you just inserted, click the "update" button. repeat the procedure for each additional CD source. when all are done click "ok".

if you find that it still doesn't work with the above method, then do the following.........

MCC->software management->software media manager. click on each CD source (one at a time) then click remove. when they're all removed, click the "add" button. click on "removable device". insert CD1 & mount if necessary, in the "name" box name it whatever you like (keeping it simple helps, IE: mdk cd1, mdk cd2, etc.). in the "path" box put /mnt/(name of cdrom that the cd is mounted in), IE: /mnt/cdrom, /mnt/cdrom1, /mnt/dvdrom, etc. leave the "relative path to synthesis/hdlist" box blank. click "ok". when it's done, remove the CD (umount first if necessary) & repeat the above procedure for each additional CD source. click "ok" when done.

if that isn't the case, then please post back.

I don't see where the error is? It looks like urpmi added the update source properly. If you want to update your computer now, just run MandrakeUpdate.

Just in case, I uninstalled and reinstalled my update source and got this:
Code:
added medium Security Updates (ftp9) (Loki)
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.Installation CD (ftp1) (Loki).cz]
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.Installation Sources (ftp2) (Loki).cz]
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.Contrib CD (ftp3) (Loki).cz]
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.Contrib Sources (ftp4) (Loki).cz]
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.JPackage.org (ftp5) (Loki).cz]
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.JPackage.org Sources (ftp6) (Loki).cz]
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.PLF (ftp7) (Loki).cz]
examining synthesis file [/var/lib/urpmi/synthesis.hdlist.PLF Sources (ftp8) (Loki).cz]
retrieving source hdlist (or synthesis) of "Security Updates (ftp9) (Loki)"...
...retrieving done
examining hdlist file [/var/cache/urpmi/partial/hdlist.Security Updates (ftp9) (Loki).cz]
writing list file for medium "Security Updates (ftp9) (Loki)"
examining pubkey file of "Security Updates (ftp9) (Loki)"...
built hdlist synthesis file for medium "Security Updates (ftp9) (Loki)"
found 0 headers in cache
removing 0 obsolete headers in cache
write config file [/etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg]
/var/cache/urpmi is used as temporary storage for things urpmi downloads. When it finishes successfully, they should be deleted or (in the case of hdlists) placed in /var/lib/urpmi automatically. If urpmi fails, then I think there will be files in /var/cache/urpmi.
