Upgrading Mandriva 2007.0 to 2007.1

Hi All !

I have tried to upgrade my Mandriva 2007.0 to 2007.1

So far I first used urpmi from console like:

Code:

urpmi.update -a; urpmi --update --auto-select --auto
Then I went to Control Center/Software Management and checked som
items on the list ("Updates All" from combolist) and after that
the list was empty and it said it couldn't find any remaning items
to be updated.

However when I boot it still prompts "Mandriva 2007.0" and in
KDE it also says my version is 2007.0

Any ideas as to how I can get to 2007.1 as there ase some rpms
I wantto install that requires 2007.1 and refuses to be installed
(because i have 2007.0 I assume).

Any help, pointers much appriciated !

Best Regards, Genin

2007.1?

To be honest, I have never heard of "2007.1." But I notice mirrors for the '07 standard release appear to be missing. I have been installing 2007 and setting up the media sources from the beta sites. Search for mirrors to add here:

http://club.mandriva.com/xwiki/bin/v.../MirrorFinder2

Don't forget to choose a country, I find the servers in France to be most up to date and reliable.

I've been adding the "release," "backports" and "updates" of both "main" and "contrib." This also allows me to fix all the bugs in the initial install of 2007, of which there are many show-stoppers.

After I add these media, I deactivate the disks (CD or DVD) as media and 2007 patches up fine with the packages available on those mirrors. Perhaps you'll find the updates you need in there.

Hope this helps.

I like smart_urpmi for configuring the mirrors. You can see what mirrors are up and when they were last queried. distrib-coffee is a good one for both Mandriva and PLF sources.
