Upgrading from 9.2 to 10.1

My cousin and I (both have been windows users, but we wuv linux, we've had 9.2) would like to know the advantage right now of upgrading from Mandrake 9.2 to the current release, 10.1.... Any cool new software in this package? We would like to upgrade mainly because of the hardware support from 9.2, because we have lots of enw hardware, such as newer video cards, like the NVidia 6800. Thanks for letting us know.

I don't see why you wouldn't want to upgrade. So much new and recent software has been added and as you mentioned before, better hardware support. Is there any particular reason holding you back? I would go for it! I immediately upgraded from 10.0 to 10.1 when the latter was just released.

I am currently dual-booting MDK 9.1 and 10.1

I like 10.1 better: it is prettier and slicker and marginally faster, and most things "just work", but I'll run it alongside my trusted 9.1 for a few weeks yet. So far 10.1 (2.6 kernel) has been stable and a lot of annoyances have been fixed. I suggest you install it on a seperate partition and play with it until you feel at home with it. Then migrate your data files over to the new home.
