Updating to xfree86 4.4.0

Hi,

im considering upgrading my xfree86 installation to 4.4.0 as it seems to have some support for my graphics card, sis 661 fx ..

http://www.xfree86.org/~jwhimpel/htm...mm-of-Upd.html

(also, is there a mirror that i can add to my rpm db to install 4.4.0 automatically? - ive looked but cant find one)

could anyone confirm that installing this on mdk will do the trick and allow me to play games at higher fps?

bear in mind i have no idea what im doing with linux and am just playing around with things at the moment!

Thanks

Andrew

If you are running 10.1 or above MandrakeLinux has now switched to Xorg instead of using Xfree.
