Update to Xorg 6.8: is it good ?


I wuold like to update to Xorg 6.8. I have Mandiva 10.1 and default Xorg is 6.7

My video card is recognize how a ati 9600 but I have a 9700 mobility.
Is there a possibility that if I upgrade to 6.8 and the new propetary driver from ati, my card is recognize correctly ?

To get max FPS out of your ATI you have to download 6.8.2 and get the latest ATI drivers.

Read: for great specific instructions.

If you need any help I have had so much trouble installing this driver it isn't funny, and I am sure I can help you.
