Hi,
I try to update my Mandriva LE 2005 with a dialup. The total of 545 Mb can take about one day and half to download but it shut down after a couple of hours. Do you think there is a way to update perhaps buy a update from a friend?
If you search google or something, there is many sites that sell cds/dvds for distros for a few bucks. Just buy the 10.2 cd or dvd, or what ever your trying to update to, then reboot with it and click update to and it should work fine if you have your drive partitioned alright, but im a linux newb, but it should work. :P
Alternatively, you could find a friend with broadband, and take your computer there, plug your ethernet cable into their router, and borrow their bandwidth. Then buy them a beer.
