update limewire

I am somewhat new to linux but not new to computers. Anyway I have been using
limewire for about a year and have installed the binary version using the install command
sh ./LimeWireLinux.bin (mandrake c10.1)

now I am trying to upgrade to version 4.6 and I have a LimeWireLinux.rpm file.
when I double click on the file the rpm starts to install then says everything is
already installed. I tried a command line rpm -U LimeWireLinux.rpm but the command interpreter says this rpm cannot be installed

I also uninstalled limewire using the uninstall program, and again double clicking on the
rpm says the same thing (already installed)

I tried also to find a 4.6.bin file but no luck

whats the easy way

Uninstall the your current version then do,

#rpm -Uvh LimeWireLinux.rpm
or
#rpm -Uvh --force --nodeps LimeWireLinux.rpm

Make sure you have the java runtime environment or jdk installed.

Better yet, set up your URPMI sources (see my sig).

Then forget about the files you've downloaded and merely

urpmi limewire

Hi, we've built an rpm that should automatically add menu entries for Mandrake systems. Please give it a try at:

http://www.limewire.org/zlatin/LimeW...1.i386.mdk.rpm .

If you have any feedback please leave it at the dedicated limewire linux forums here: http://gnutellaforums.com/forumdispl...?s=&forumid=28

two browsers

I ran that free update
but got this error

LimeWire-free-4.8.1-1.i386 (due to unsatisfied j2re[>= 1.4.1])

I have a version of java file:/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04

but this works on my mozilla browser
however I have reciently downloaded fire fox and the
java test does not run on it. could it be that the problem
is that firefox was the last installed browser, if so how do
I enable the java in the firefox
