unhiding root changes the turn off process

Hello?

I'm using PowerPack 10.1 When I make root unhidden,
this causes the turn off option to redisplay login/logout
menu with reboot and halt options instead of just turning
and powering off the system.

For the turn off option to work properly, I have to hide the
root user from the login/logout menu.

Is this the default way, or something's not set up right?

Thanks.

A quirp of Mandrake. The auto-login option also has an effect on reboot options.
