Smile The solution...

Hello! I think that I have the solution to your problems. Mr Google helped me and a message from becainzos in Mandrake forums.

The usual issue is that you have a synaptic touchpad. In this link you can find the information regarding this issue.

but...

As far as I suppose that you donīt like to recompile the kernel you only have to download the rpm file synaptics-0.12.4-1mdk.i586.rpm from any contrib repository of mandrake. Again I did it using google. and copy the lines described in that post into XF86Config-4. This solution is written there also from johncoo and some others.

I have problems with the network configuration and PCMCIA but this is goint to be the subject of another post.

Hoping that this would help you.

BR

Please bear in mind that there are two carriage returns. One after the ? and another after &. Donīt forget it when you copy-paste that address.
