tuxracer fails in Mndrake 10.1

Hi, I have just performed a clean install of Mandrake 10.1 CE (been using Mandrake since 9.2). All sems to be well apart from TuxRacer. When I launch it from the KDE menu the screen resolution changes (so that the screen appears magnified) but no TuxRacer. Ending the current session does not sort out the desktop resolution issue - a full reboot is required.

Any help in resolving this would be great

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a glx (opengl) problem.

You may be missing the GLX entry in the X config file you you installed the version of X WITHOUT 3D support.

I did choose the option for 3d In X during install but maybe it didn't work. How would I check that the GLX entry is there?

Thanks, will103

Open a console under X and type in

glxinfo |more

It should dump the opengl information.
