Hi
I have 2 pc here one win98se
and one mandrake9.1

The linux pc connects to the internet via the win 98 machine
this works fine using the normal network configuration

But I first have to go and disable Internet sharing in the mandrake control center before i can connect ( this was hard to find)

So I tried to stop this service which i presume is DrakeGW but I cant find it in the services ?

does it have an other name ?

I had wingate runnig on the win98 pc ..
Duh

I never actually configured the Internet Sharing with the wizard in drake conf I just saw it there and had a look. There I saw that it was active. I wanted to stop it starting up automaticallyas a <service I can not find> as it jamed the Internet connection with wingate .
i saw that by disabeling It I could then connect fine

But I have changed my settup and put the modem on the Red Hat PC
Also I have now removed Manfrake9.1
AND
I put my Red Hat 8 back on but I will want to do the same thing the other way around ( the win98 connecting to the Red Hat 8 pc)

Its complicated as I am running apache php/mysql .
I definately have to RTFM !!!!
