Trouble with install of 10.0 CE

Ok I had 10.0 CE running on my computer for a long time (since it came out) and really liked it. Then, I had a computer failure and ended up having to reinstall everything. None of my hardware has changed, but now 10.0 CE won't reinstall. Everytime it installs and then I boot up the first time, and no X windows. No big deal, I type in startx and nothing happens. It just comes right back to my prompt. I tried reinstalling it several times cause I had this problem the first time and after I tried reinstalling it a couple of times it worked. Not this time. I tried reinstalling it like 10 times and nothing worked. Now my question is do I keep trying, or do I shell out the money for 10 OE and hope that the installer is better? Also, if I get CE running and perform all the updates is there any reason to get OE?

since you're reinstalling anyway, have you tried completely formatting the partition then proceeding with the install as opposed to an upgrade install?

That's what I've been doing is formatting the partition and going with a new install everytime. I can't find out what there dmesg command would give me because I don't have it installed right now. If it would be helpful, I'll try to reinstall it this afternoon and then I'll see what it tells me. If I remember correctly though, it comes back with an error message when x fails to start. There is a whole screen of stuff, but the message that sticks out in my head was the one that said "no screens found" or something like that.

Ok I got some more information for you guys. I figured the problem was my video card and I think I'm right, but I'm not sure, and if it is, I don't know how to fix it. Anyway, here is the end portion of my XFree86.0.log file. It shows the error that it always gives me. Hope it makes more sense to you guys than it does to a newbie like me. :-)
