Thunderbird Not Starting?

Ok, I have installed Mozilla Thunderbird, from URPMI.

I then placed its icon on my desktop.

I have read other places that it needs to be run by the root first. So I went to console, went cd usr/bin
then
./mozilla-thunderbird

It sits for a second then just brings the prompt back up.

When I try starting it in KDE it will show on the bar with the hour glass spinning but then just goes away and never actually starts.

Any suggestions?
