Task Manager?

Hi i have a question.
are there task manager in mandriva.

in Windows xp you can see a list of program that is being runing.
you can set it priority to use system resource
or even end the program.

just wondering if there are anything similar in mandriva.

In Mandriva Linux Control Centre you have "Enable or disable the system services".

It shows all running services and allows you to stop them and prevent them starting at boot.

You could open a console window and use the command `top` - have a look at `man top` for details.

In KDE press ctrl+esc or go menu->System->Monitoring->KSysGuard
You can 'renice' (set priority on) processes by right-clicking on them.

There are also lots and lots of command line programs to manage processes - ps, pkill, pgrep, pstree, top, renice etc.
