Sys time and hwclock time

I'm running Mandrake 9.1 on one of my servers and everytime I reboot the hw clock and sys clock get all out of wack. I need to set these and have them stay consistent.

Is it better to run the hw clock at UTC and the sys at local? - if so or not, how do I make these adjustments?

Thanks.

I'm using 10 now, but the problem is familiar.

Simply access the Time Server from Mandrake Control Center and opt NOT to set your hardware clock to GMT.

I removed a bunch of Perl files prior to upgrading my perl version - unfortunately this broke my Mandrake Control Center. Any idea of how to do it command line behind the scenes?

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:40 AM.
