Unhappy Switched from DSL to Cable, now no connection

I'm running 10.0 I've always had DSL with no problem, I cxl'd it and I'm attempting to share the cable connection already in the house. I can't get it to work thru the setup via MCC, It just hangs in the "resolving host" whenever I try to access a page. the connection is running thru an SMC router the weird thing is my laptop which is connected to the same cable right now works fine (as you can see ). when hooked up to my pc I can get into the routers setup via so I know the connection is there...and the fact that im on it now, any suggestions?

How many ips does you provider supply. Mine only lets me have one without extra cost. Normally dsl lets you have about 4. So try disconnecting the laptop and reconfigure.
